NADINE A. BERGIN, ARNP

As one of our Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, Nadine Bergin is also a Clinical Nurse Specialist with experience and training in pediatrics. She's had an ongoing interest in the health care of infants and young children; in fact, her thesis focused on the management of acute pain in the hospitalized child.

Ms. Bergin developed a tool, currently being used by UnityPoint - St. Luke's which facilitates the ability of the young child to communicate their pain experience.

Active in and out of our practice, Ms. Bergin has conducted pediatric assessment courses for other health care professionals, designed a lead poison brochure that is distributed throughout the Siouxiand area, and has also written test items for publication by the medical college of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Bergin has lived with her family in Sioux City since 1981. She has served as a volunteer in the Parochial School System and youth service organizations in her community. She and her husband, Michael, have four children.
