Meet Dr. Rex Rundquist
Rex W. Rundquist, MD
Growing up in Sloan, Iowa, Dr. Rundquist always had a keen interest in science and the outdoors. He received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Iowa State University and his medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his pediatric training at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. After nine years in private practice in Fairbanks, Alaska, Dr. Rundquist joined Prairie Pediatrics in 1991. He has served on the board of the Iowa Academy of Pediatrics, the Iowa Medicaid Clinical Advisory Committee and in various local positions.
He and his wife, Maria, are the parents of four grown children and currently have six grandchildren. He is fluent in conversational Spanish.
